Atkinson Steps Down

Published By: Morgan Bates   On: Monday 22 Mar 2010 10:50 AM

It's a good day for the Australians hankering for an R18 rating. Joystiq reports that South Australian Attorney General Michael Atkinson, the man many blame for blocking the bill for an R18 rating, is stepping down.

As yet, no announcement has been made regarding who the next Attorney General will be, or if they have a different view on the R18 rating.

"And thus, as the small pale ghosts of oppressed gamers everywhere stepped out to greet the new day, some wondered;

'Would there be bigger boobs shown in film again?', 'Will citizens finally be trained in the finer points of zombie genocide?' and 'If someone stole my car and I beat them with a bat, would blood actually appear?'

These are just a few questions, for the new world, just over the horizon.
