Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have today announced that a sequel to 2009's innovative title 'Scribblenauts' is now in production for the Nintendo DS.
Scribblenauts 2 will expand on the concept of the original but it will add some interesting new twists and turns. You play as Maxwell, and are trying to solve puzzles in order to acquire the “Starite”.
Warner Bros have announced that one interesting development is the ability for players to modify any object in any way by adding adjectives. Adjectives can change the colour, size, elements, behaviours and many other aspects of the object they are describing. it remains to be seen what the scope of this is. Here at NZGamer we can think of some great scenarios involving 'Epic Hammer' or 'Obliterating Red Bomb'.
Warner Brothers have also confirmed that multiple adjectives can be combined together to produce crazy, zany, imaginative and creative new solutions to the game's puzzling challenges. We cant wait to use the 'rotating, speedy, eviscerating, demonic crop-harvester.'
Here's the word (heh) straight from Samantha Ryan, Warner Bros Interactive's Senior Vice President, Development and Production:
“The Scribblenauts sequel gives all players an enhanced game experience they will love and new challenges where they can use their imaginations even more. 5TH Cell is a very talented and creative developer and we are excited to add to the Scribblenauts franchise with this new game.”
