Latest Super Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer

Looks awesome, like the first will be a must-own title for the Wii. Its been a while since i purchased anything for my Wii, let-alone something on day 1 - this looks to change that at last :D

It looks like it has a lot more big levels that arent just a lot of small spheres. That was my main complaint with the first so should be good.

This does look good but I have one concern. The fact that they are basically repeating the same formula as the original game makes me fear that it may not feel as original. Unlike the original Mario Galaxy which was amazing to step into the first time, I am pretty sure it wont be the same this time.

I am not saying this in a bad way, just a little concerned. I would love to play it but I sold my Wii in January last year. I am not falling into that hole again because I just want one game.

...Maybe if the Wii gets a price cut.

My main issue here is that I think Super Mario Galaxy was enough. I love it to pieces, don't get me wrong. It's like my second favourite game of all time. I just don't see the need for this, given that Super Mario Galaxy is so perfect and has so much replay value. I can only see me playing this and going "Blah, it's not as good." Unless it's better. Could they do that? Hmmm....

it looks like it could be changed enough to separate itself from the first game and looks like some heavy use of yoshi as well. whether or not it can surpass the first one though remains to be seen and in terms of sequels it's got a lot to live up to since the first one was so good.

God, the first one was good but to make an almost identical sequel, its just......awkward

ill end up buying it and finding my wii under a mountain of dust but thats only because i love the dieing genre that is the platformer.

im gonna end up hating it though. ive shifted onto pc gaming since then and played a little thing called crysis.
and now, nothing ever looks good......

I will prob play some Super Mario Galaxy 1 alternating with a little Super Mario Sunshine and pretend I'm playing the sequel?!
