How to Train Your Dragon Announced

Activision has announced How to Train Your Dragon - the game, based on Dreamworks upcoming CG film of the same name. The title is in development at Etranges Libellules for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, while Griptonite Games are handling the DS version.



The third-person action game takes place on the island of Berk and features numerious locations from the film including the Vikings' Village, Wild Zone and Training Zone.

Players take the role of a Viking (either Hiccup, or Astrid) to create and train their own dragon, explore the environments and battle in dragon tournaments in an epic quest to be the ultimate Dragon trainer.

In addition to the standard "battle to level up" How to train Your Dragon will featurev a selection of mini-games players can use to gain experience - Ice Sculpting, Looping Race, Flying Sheppard, Memory Torch, and Puzzle Dragon.

The multiplayer mode will allow players to take the fight online in multiplayer battles and mini-games on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
