Another Square-Enix Classic Hits PSN Store

In case you haven't checked the PlayStation Store today, you may want to check out the latest release in the PlayStation Classics range. Ever since the PlayStation 3's launch, one classic Final Fantasy title has remained unplayable on the console.
Now - after years of hoping a firmware update would solve the issue - Final Fantasy VIII has hit PlayStation Store for just $18.90.
Larry Sparks, Vice President Brands PAL Region of Square Enix comments: “Final Fantasy VIII is one of the best known and loved adventures in the Final Fantasy series. Over 10 years on and the game is still as endearing and challenging as ever. We’re pleased to be releasing Final Fantasy VIII on PlayStation Network in PAL territories from today.”
Unfortunately, the Australian/New Zealand PlayStation discs still don't work and probably never will since it's presense on PSN, indicates it's either a disc or copy protection issue, rather than the software - if you want Final Fantasy VIII on your PS3 you'll just have to buy it again.

Good luck. I've had FF7 for years and haven't finished, mainly because I keep getting lost and give up.
