Check Out the FFXIII International Trailer

Square Enix has released a new trailer for the international version of Final Fantasy XIII. It features the English dub and the new theme "My Hands" by Leona Lewis.

Check out the new trailer here:

So far the dub sounds great - even the lip-syncing is near perfect.

The theme tune, however, has been getting less-than-positive reactions:
"It didn't seem to work all that well with this trailer... :/ Less than two months until release though!"

"The song is bad and seems out of place. I wish it was an instrumental track instead, it would have work with the video more. But the game itself looks great."

Post your thoughts on the dub and theme song in the comments.

I honestly thought the music worked well, and I wonder how many gamers are moaning simply because their, ahem, taste in music gravitates towards sh*tty metal.

Oh Asia.

Whatever way you cut it, that music doesn't work. Especially with the second half.

Mass Effect 2 > This

I've been listening to "My Hands" for a while now, trying to hear it as a theme song, but it just doesn't work for me. I think it works well in this video though!

Overall, I think the game is looking marvelous. Bring on March 9th!!

I'm sure in the game the music will be put into a more appropriate place and make sense in context. Having said that I actually quite like the song in the trailer and I don't think it's too much out of place.

Otherworld in FFX was awesome but this is obviously trying to strike a different chord.

Wow, the actual game looks awesome. First day purchase, definitely. (hopefully NOT followed by terrible disappointment)
I think the music worked fine for the second half, while they were fighting, but not in the first part, it jarred with the conversations and made me feel like I've left my music player running in the background. =/
Still, I hope it's not in the game...

That song actually works very well, FF fanboys just need to get over themselves. The dubbing seems very good as well (Though FF games usually have great dubs, or at least compared to everything else which is dubbed)

I may buy this further into the year, or when it is way cheaper. Otherwise I may just rent it for 8 days from my rental shop. The story, visuals and such seem great but the combat still does not appeal to me and judging from the responses coming in from those who played the Japanese version, it aint living up to the hype (And i'd trust most of these people over Western review companies, heck they imported a japanese version just to get their hands on it and most likely enjoy JRPG's. Could be wrong though.)

Like Uber said though, I don't think this game will be anywhere near as good as ME2.

Wow, Leona lewis landed Avatar AND Final Fantasy. That punch in the head must've boosted her luck a few points.

I think the music suited as well. Just a bit distracting at the start, with the song and the dialogue at the same time.
