If you were still planning on pre-ordering the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2 it might be too late; searches on major retail sites such as Gamesman Online and EB Games only to find a big "Sold out!".
We contacted Activision’s New Zealand distributor, Total Interactive, about it and they have confirmed that both versions have almost sold out, while adding that there are still a few units to pre-order.

It's quite impressive @ $269 per unit to sellout 2 1/2 mths before release.
That is indeed VERY impressive. I guess pricing doesnt stop people when it comes to Call of Duty. Not so uch the case for other games....

uhh... It's $149.99 at Might Ape... I just put my pre-order down earlier today...

DSE's website appears to still have some. Unless they haven't taken it down yet. Might be worth a go though.

Yeah i was thinking that too. Although the night vision goggles do actually work when would you use it? I have no practical use for them.

yeah, they are real. Gen 1 goggles so not the best available but still freakin amazing price for nvg's. i don't even care that MW2 comes with it too it's just a bonus.If these are the real thing I'm going to be gutted, I doubt they are though
for me it's a case of awesome value for money for something i never knew i absolutely needed to have.
they'd probably be ~$400NZ if they were even available in NZ.

hmm, the site that i found that said they were gen 1's has updated their description to now say 'fully functional' which casts a bit of doubt on their tech. might be IR illuminated goggles. ah well.

im so happy i got in and preordered it. it looks insane and simple economics always says that a shortage leads to an increase in demand
