Well that explains their development for Wii...pity, I would've loved some HD NRL!
Could still be really awesome. All the more power to Sidhe :D

Wii only!!! Man that sucks! Yeah, I wish it were multiplatform! I would've definitely bought on day 1 this if it were on PS3...

Nintendo exclusive?! Noooooooo! How about a new next-gen version for 360 and PS3? ... or PS3 at least?!
Still hasn't been a better rugby (either code) game! Only one that comes close is Jonah Lomu Rugby! Come on Sidhe, you know you want to make a Rugby game!!

Was hoping EA could make the next NRL but regardless of it being she, why would you put out a sports sim for a console that only appeals to casuals.

I can say with certainty that hardcore nrl and sports game lovers own an xbox or ps3, so this is very dissapointing. I wouldn't be suprised if they will see it later down the track though, but if there is only graphical and other superficial improvements to the game it will be dissapointing

I'll take a guess here... Maybe a big reason why it's Wii only is probably graphical reasons... Sidhe's budget wouldn't be big enough to be able to make polished game nice enough for the PS3 or 360...

That would be part of the reason, but hey RL fans are not expecting a game to the graphical standards of other xbox/ps3 titles.

The news is definately more sweet than bitter though, at least SOMETHING is happening with RL and videogames

some good news for wii owners after the disappointment of games like red steel being delayed until next year. I won't lie either my wii hasn't been getting much use lately or had games bought for it but I will probably be getting this day 1 on pre-order.

Awesome to see that Sidhe have gone back to the Rugby League franchise. But why on the Wii?

With the Playstation brand and Xbox for that matter having quite a strong presence in rugby league itself you would think that the PS3 and 360 would get a piece of the pie.

Last I looked Wii was on top and it needs more 'core' games. Also, cheaper to develop for?

Too dare to produce a PS3/360 title.

True true. Never seen Nintendo sponsor anything to do with NRL, but in the 2000's MS and Sony have been quite visible in sponsorship through their consoles. Oh well at least there's another league game coming out I suppose, just wish it was on 360/ps3

Personally I feel this is a huge letdown for fans who asked for a next gen installment. I can understand, a little, why they chose the wii, but i'll go out on a limb here and say that most fans of the series, own a 360 or PS3.

Budget might play a big part in the production of a next gen game, but how well do you really think this will sell on wii?

The saga with HES not giving the go-ahead for a next gen release will continue if RL3 bombs...

*thumbsdown*
