THQ Buys Midway San Diego!

According to ChicagoTribune.com, Smackdown! vs Raw publisher THQ has purchased the last remaining Midway studio in San Diego - they were responsible for TNA Impact!

Although THQ won’t acquire the rights to the TNA license, they will get "substantially all" of the studio’s assets, for just USD $200,000 (that’s NZD 298,018.00).

In addition, THQ have offered jobs to former employees that were made redundant in the Midway bankruptcy.

I wonder what debt they take on with that purchase?
Interesting though. All the more power to THQ. I've liked some of the stuff that's come out of there.

Unfortunately their Smackdown games have become stale though.

Yeah for that price, they must have been in terrible shape. A lot of debt I presume.

Wonder if there will ever be another TNA game now. The first (and only) game isn't really that bad, and a good first effort from Midway. It could only get better.
