Various websites around the world are reporting the news that GTA V might be gracing us very shortly.
According to games industry analyst Michael Pachter from Wedbush Morgan, Michael stated GTA V is not only in the works but Rockstar have been hard at work for a year now.

Well they definitely kept that one a secret, didn't they?
Man this would be awesome if true. I loved GTA IV even though many didn't. Can't wait.
I've struggled to get the end of GTAIV, it's truly an epic game, but I always go off course rather than do the missions.

It didn't feel as long as the others...or maybe I just became more awesome :P

Me too, but it's more a technical limitation. :P

Still haven't finished GTAIV yet but it still is pretty awesome, so far
Alongside the next load of dlc coming and the sure to be epic red dead this is a pretty suprising announcement.
To be honest I could go another couple of years without a GTA retail release. Im still a little hungover from all the hours I put into 4 the LAD dlc

Not really an announcement. More a rumour. And people are saying it's probably at least a 2010/1011 release. :)

GTA 4 was pretty crud in comparison to san andrea's.. i liked the weapon system etc but there was no fun little story lines off from the main game... and small.
bring back power sliding cars :D

I haven't played GTA 4 much at all.... Dunno why? I liked the bicycles in San Andreas :D
I swear, if they did San Andreas all over again, on Next Gen and in High Def, with a few little new missions here and there, it would still sell! … or maybe that’s just my wishful thinking?!
Not too sure about playing another GTA just yet? Really looking forward Agent. Something a bit different I’m sure.

I'm in the same boat as you mate. Man this would be awesome if true. I loved GTA IV even though many didn't. Can't wait.
And I hope this doesn't come across in a bad way, but I cant help but feel what would be possible if it was made for the PS3 alone.

He's just saying that if they weren't restricted to 9GB they may be able to make the game bigger (More cars, Bigger maps, bigger cups of coffee to throw at old ladies etc...).
P.S. I know you were being sarcastic with your comment, but the best answer to a sarcastic question is a true one...

I wonder if they'll make a return to Vice City, logically you'd think they would, and then San Andreas would follow. Also if they do make new GTAs for Vice and San Andreas will they be in the same decades? If they were in the same decades as their last gen bretheren it may be limiting what they could pull off (ie no cell phones).
Quietly excited
