Some of Australia's top cricketers including Brett Lee (pictured), Ricky Pointing and James Hopes took some time out from the real thing to try out Codemasters’ upcoming Cricket title: Ashes Cricket 2009. The team played multiplayer Test Match and One Day Internationals against the English.
After some hands on time with the title at a recent press day, Ricky Ponting commented: “Games like Ashes Cricket 2009 could certainly be used as a training tool for the squad in the future.” while All rounder James Hopes said “Let’s hope we have this game on the team bus while we are touring around England.” after some extended play time.
Fans will be able to get their hands on it when it ships for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC soon - keep it locked on NZGamer for a solid release date.

Flame me if you want but I just don't enjoy cricket games...I think the last one I enjoyed was Brian Lara on PSOne.
This made me chuckle a bit. How exactly?
But yeah this game is going to fail if customers research it and find out that it's unlicensed outside of the England and Australia players.

Why not do a Wii version with motion plus? You'd probably get more sales that way.
