As part of the announcement for Project Natal - Microsoft's motion, voice, expression, sensing technology coming to the Xbox 360 - Lionhead Studios president Peter Molyneux unveiled a tech-demo of sorts, known simply as 'Milo'.
When questioned, Molyneux suggested that Milo will indeed involve into a game, even if it's an advanced 'tamagotchi'.
The demo was pretty impressive if they can pull this off in real-life. Take a look for yourself:

Looks pretty neat, hopefully its exactly as it is in the video. Wonder what happens if you swear at him, heh.
Could open up a whole world of possiblities, but only if developers push themselves. I like Molyneux but he tends stretch the truth.
Looks to good to be true, what if they programed it to those exact response but hopefully I'm wrong as I really want this to work properly
That just seems to coined to be real. All her responses seemed rehersed. What if she told him to go dig a hole or to construct a working replica of a steam train. This boy wouldn't react to you, he would react to pre-determined phrases. Thats not dialogue, it's just another way to push a button. I think Mr. Molyneux is telling stories...
I don't buy it.

I'd have to agree. While I want to believe it, I just cant. Peter says that everyone who has tried it out reacted and felt that they had to "pick up" the goggles.
