Atari NZ announced that it will be publishing Codemaster’s latest cricket title: Ashes Cricket 2009, the official game of the tournament. The title is in development at Transmission Games - the team behind Ricky Ponting 2007 Pressure Play for the PSP - is fully licensed by Cricket Australia, England and Wales Cricket Board and owners of the Ashes urn, the Marylebone Cricket Club.
“The Ashes is set to be the sporting event of the European summer and it’s great to be producing the official game of the series,” commented Jamie Firth, Producer, Codemasters.
With the versions arriving on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC initially, with the Wii version following later in the year, it looks like they’ve got all their bases covered.

I smell another underwhelmoing release simalar to the lame ponting 07; And sadly there apperars to be no fully liscenced game on the horizon as circket 09 has been dispelled as a rumour.
I would of course love to be proven wrong about the quality of this game
Blow out as usual,rental only.
