Over the past few days rumors of legendary developer 3D Realms’ demise have been flying around the internet. Now we know for sure - 3D Realms is no more.
All is not lost however, Deep Silver and Apogee Games were quick to point out that this won’t affect Apogee Software or the Duke Nukem handheld titles currently in development.
“Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms. Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned.”
Duke Nukem Forever's fate is in the hands on Take-Two now, as they own the publishing rights.

The recently "leaked" screenshots and concept art are pretty good, but the mood seems far too sinister for a Duke game.
Rockstar has class and imagination. They would never be interested in resuscitating this franchise
"Duke Nukem handheld titles currently in development."

Seconded, and I'm not too sure I want to see Rockstar's recent "character modification" thing going on to Duke. It would be nasty.....

Haha you and me both bro! How much fun was Death Rally! Shadow Warrior was a good laugh, had some pretty funny quotes from Lo Wang!

That sucked like crazy. Shadow Warrior, Duke Nukem, Masx Payne, Prey, they were great games. Luckily some of those licenses are owned by other companies.
Hopefully Apogee will pick up the rest of the pieces considering they own the "Duke Nukem Trilogy" rights, they could work with Take Two studios who own the "Duke Nukem Forever" rights so we can see that puppy, chew bubblegum and kick ass.
At "havicdavis", Prey 2 was transferred to the Radar Group who are working with Human Head Studios on it, so you'll will hopefully be walking the spirit planes again sometime in the future!
