Capcom Europe has announced the Resident Evil 5 VS mode pack will be available on Xbox Live tomorrow and PlayStation Store in the next store update. For the low, low price of 400 MS points you and up to three friends will be able to shoot each other in the face – or play in these included game modes:
Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.
As usual, keep it locked to NZGamer.com for the price of the PlayStation Store release or just check the store on Friday.

Apparently the game has always had the content on this disc but what you pay for is like an activation for the content on the disc.

Yeah allot of gamers are getting there knickers in a twist over it. Simple really. Don't buy it and it may just discourage devs from doing it in the future.Apparently the game has always had the content on this disc but what you pay for is like an activation for the content on the disc.
Wait is that even legal. They charge you for something you already own in a way.
Apparently the game code for the content is part of the download, of which uses assets from the disc. Don't know what everyone's crying about, Capcom have to pay for the servers and extra work put into it somehow, plus the PSN server costs.
Either way I wouldn't care if the content came on the disc or not, I'm paying for the experience they crafted for me, they don't make any claims on the box about online versus, how they distribute it is upto them.
