Viewtiful Joe Coming to PlayStation 2

After rumours going around of Viewtiful Joe 2 not being a GameCube exclusive, Capcom announced today that the original Viewtiful Joe will be appearing on the PlayStation 2 end of this year. With the original going the way of the PS2, it wouldn't be surprising to see Viewtiful Joe 2 also being ported to the PlayStation after it�s GameCube release.

"Viewtiful Joe is the most innovative creation in video games, and we are thrilled to bring it to the millions and millions of PlayStation 2 owners," said Todd Thorson, Capcom's director of marketing. "The combination of a classic side-scrolling brawler and state-of-the-art Hollywood-esque special effects makes Viewtiful Joe a one-of-a-kind game."

No details have yet emerged about the price of actual release date, but if the popularity of the GameCube is anything to go by, PlayStation should have a winner with this game.
