It's not exactly the biggest secret that Europe's RRP for Rock Band went down like a lead balloon. However, Europe is lucky; they have Rock Band. Well, rumour has it that it's finally coming in October, but it will cost you.
Like in Europe, there will be no complete bundle. You will have to buy the game (AU$120/NZ$155!) and then the instruments. You can either get them individually (guitar for AU$110/NZ$142, the rest AU$TBA) or as a kit for AU$290/NZ$375. Total cost: NZ$530!!!! (Yes, I know more than one exclamation mark is grammatically incorrect, but this situation calls for it.)
To add insult to injury, this is a month after Rock Band 2 launches in the States. Given that most people have already given up on waiting for Rock Band, and given the ridiculously high cost of entry (read: more than a 360), I can't actually see too many people investing in the game. EA have said that they will shout it from the rooftops when they have something to announce, but if this price turns out to be true, I wouldn't be surprised if they whisper it hoping no one will hear...

Lol. I aint getting a year old game for $530 (which I imagine to be a fairly accurate price). $142 just for the guitar? You can get Gh2 or 3 with guitar and game for that...

Anyone know if GH4 is coming out the same time/just before this? I would think if they undercut this price then its bye bye Rockband. Sometimes I laugh at how my opinion of that game has changed in a year.
