"You have seen the extent of Nintendo's 2008 holiday lineup," Cammie Dunaway told Wired's Chris Kohler. In short, don't be expecting any surprise announcements for the rest of this year. If you're not interested in Wii Music, Wii Sports Resort, or Animal Cross: City Folk, you're fresh out of luck.
This is, as Dunaway explains, because Nintendo "don't talk about things until we are confident that they are in a place where we're going to be able to deliver on them in relatively short order after talking about them."
However, The Camminator assures us that the hardcore are important to Nintendo. "Absolutely the hard-core gamer crowd is critically important to us." She also wants everyone to know that she isn't fake and is genuinely enthusiastic about Nintendo's products. "I'm really a genuinely smiley, nice person. Because people think I'm fake, smiling up there."
You can check out the full interview here, which details "where all the hard-core content is, why Nintendo won't be surprising us with last-minute 2008 game announcements, the official answers on Virtual Console's scaled-back schedule and lack of storage, and what's up with Professor Layton."

"No More Nintendo Surprises" ...wait... were there ANY nintendo surprises this year?! wait, no one was expecting *nothing*, so maybe thats a surprise. right? right?!
I like Animal Crossing City Folk...
*sadness*
Yeah, Nintendo's E3 segment was pretty poor. But I didn't expect to see anything good anyway. There was one thing that peaked my interest though: Pikmin.

Actually, I like Animal Crossing. But I'm just wondering if Nintendo are going to offer enough new stuff in City Folk for it to be worth taking the plunge. Maybe I'll just stick with Wild World.
"I'm really a genuinely smiley, nice person. Because people think I'm fake, smiling up there." - Now theres a surprise!!

Man....I don't know what to think of that...
If I had emotions I would cry.
Theres only one thing worse for me than Nintendo ignoring my core gamer needs...
And thats Anime Reluctant Denial Syndrome.. or A.R.D.S...
