MGO Expansion Shortchanges Gamers

Do you like Metal Gear Online? I know I do. And Konami wants you to like it too, by encouraging you to purchase their latest "Gene Expansion" for the experience by offering a worldwide tournament. Unfortunately, you might want to hold off on buying the expansion for now.

Unfortunately, just like how Konami's servers fell to their knees under the weight of people trying to access the Metal Gear Online Beta, Konami's servers recently melted under the weight of people trying to purchase the expansion. Worse, reports are coming in of people who have paid for the expansion and received nothing in return (except a lot of heartache).

Konami's solution for now has been to limit random IP addresses from accessing the shop, as well as canceling all the "Survival" battles in an attempt to lighten the load. Disappointing, to say the least, especially when you consider that Sony's online infrastructure has already been subject to much criticism.

We'll be sure to let you know when Metal Gear Online is back to normal, so keep it locked to NZGamer!

I love MGO and the new maps looks awesome, but the price for the expansion is a bloody ripoff...
