Miyamoto Loves Killzone 2

Published By: Contributor   On: Friday 18 Jul 2008 11:18 AM

When Miyamoto turned up to his interview at Nintendo, he brought along some coat hangers that he had made. These hangers were in the shape of animals, with beaks and trucks acting as the hooks. This is the kind of man that Miyamoto is: playful and imaginative.

So would it surprise you to know that he was spotted checking out Killzone 2 on the E3 show floor? (Reports also suggest he was rather impressed.) It shouldn't; it's a little known fact that Miyamoto is a big fan of first-person shooters. Indeed, it was Miyamoto that suggested that Metroid Prime should be viewed from a first-person perspective.

Sony has been on the back foot a little since Microsoft's keynote speech took the wind out of its sales (pun intended), but having one of the greatest geniuses in the industry impressed with one of your flagship titles can only bring smiles all round.

Of course, it should really come as no surprise. We've played Killzone 2 and it is indeed rather excellent.

Check out the video below, and keep it locked to NZGamer for more updates about Killzone 2 as we get them.

lol - going to love hearing what some Nintendo fanboys think of this. Of course I'm a Nintendo fan, I mean the ones that will not play any other console when even Miyamoto realises that good games come out on every machine.

I am looking forward to seeing how COD5 plays on the Wii. With the Wiimotes it has such great potential to make a FPS more engaging I am surprised that more hasn't been done in that direction till now.

This, along with Dynasty Warriors 6, are the only two PS3 games i want to play..

Daniel1987, it would actually be really cool if they had a remake of Yoshis Safari on SNES on Wii, but with the Wiimote instead of the Superscope.

Although that would be 3PS..
