Web-Exclusive Battlestar Hits C4TV.co.nz

Prior to the season 3 premiere on C4, a web only series "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance" is now available at www.c4tv.co.nz Effectively a prequel to Season 3, this series is made up of 10 "webisodes" which detail events taking place in between seasons. Each webisode is 2 to 5 minutes in length and the storyline focuses on the reaction (and resistance) to the Cylon invasion of New Caprica at the end of Season 2. The webisodes are from the same creative team behind the show.

Life on New Caprica had held the promise of protection from the Cylons, as well as breathable air and solid land. But Cylons discovered the planet, and humanity has been forced to live under Cylon occupation. The series begins on the 67th day of the Cylon invasion. As Saul Tigh (Michael Hogan) and Chief Tyrol (Aaron Douglas) organize an insurgency, the Cylons campaign for peaceful co-existence, while eliminating anyone resisting. As life among the Cylons becomes unbearable, two former members of Galactica's fleet—lifelong friends Jammer (Dominic Zaprogna) and Duck (Christian Tessier)—must decide whether resistance or compliance is in the best interest of humanity. The storyline of the online prequel will lead viewers seamlessly into the third-season premiere - Wednesday 9th July at 8.30pm.

NZ fans have waited a long time to view this online series with internet viewing restricted to US fans only. Each webisode is designed with a beginning, a middle and an end - so they can be watched as stand alone or all all together as one episode.
