Three key staff members have left Retro Studios, the makers of the Metroid Prime series.
Design director Mark Pacini, engineer Jack Mathews, and art director Todd Keller have all left the Texas based developer, and were escorted out of their offices last Friday, according to Shacknews.
Nintendo's first party developer will continue to work on its as-yet-unannounced game which will be a departure from the Metroid Series.
Retro Studios was bought by Nintendo in 2001 after having been signed on to develop the trilogy of Metroid games, which saw the first two on the GameCube and the last on the Wii.
