Prince of Persia 2 PC Demo Released!

Earlier today the demo for Ubi-Soft's Prince of Persia: Warrior Within hit the net giving gamers a feel for the Prince's brutal new moves and a glimpse into an intriguing storyline. Beginning with a run of the mill tutorial the demo then shows us what Warrior Within has in store for us.

The demo opens on a beautifully rendered Galleon, the perfect place to show of our nameless Prince's new moves, from using a mast to spin around to decapitate foes to bouncing off rafters to deliver death blows from above. Definately a lot more violent than it's light-hearted predecessor.

The graphical tone of the game has also changed for the darker. Smokey Blacks and Blood Reds dominate where golds and whites did in last years hit. This helps set the mood for the plot which has the prince attempting to escape fate, his has been foretold, he will die, Warrior Within is about him trying to live another day.

Surprises are to be had in the demo with an incredibly large boss which seems slightly out of place if only because we know too little about the game's plot. This question plus many more will be answered in late November when NZ gamers will get their chance to show off their acrobatic flair on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and of course PC.
