In what seems like a perfect match, SimCity is hitting the DS. Yes, proper SimCity, not the Sims. :P Being able to take your city around with you in your pocket is a SimCity fans dream. The DS version of the game is set to include new features to take advantage of the hardware, you will be able to blow fires out and sign virtual documents with the stylus. You’ll also be able to customise your creation with famous land-marks from across the globe.

SimCity on DS will also take advantage of the built in Wi-Fi, but there are currently no details on what this will be used for yet. As you can see from the screenshot, both screens will also be taken advantage of and show two views of your city making it easier to keep track of what exactly is what.

“We are very excited to bring the SimCity experience to the Nintendo DS platform,” said Takahiro Murakami, Producer of SimCity DS. “The unique Nintendo DS functionalities inspired us to incorporate many new features to delight the most dedicated SimCity fans. The game is filled with fun surprises that will appeal to new and existing fans of the franchise.”
