Just announced at the New York Comic Con 2007 is that Halo is being given its own comic book series. Following the success of last year's Halo Graphic Novel, Marvel has decided to allow the printing of an ongoing Halo comic book series.
In a Q&A session with Marvel's Joe Quesada, the editor-in-chief revealed in a surprise announcement that the comic book project will be written by Marvel workhorse Brian Michael Bendis, who has several writing credits under his belt, including Avengers: Volume 3 and an impressive number of titles under Marvel's "Ultimate" line of comics. Art for the series will be handled by Bulgarian artist Alex Maleev, who has already collaborated with Bendis once before on a successful four-year run of Daredevil: Volume 2.
Quesada didn't offer much information apart from those tidbits, but rest assured that we'll keep you informed when we receive word of any updates.
