First Blog : Thoughts on E3

So E3 has been and gone and I must say that it was rather disappointing overall. Microsoft was the only conference that had something shocking to the point where the internet exploded. To be honest I did cry a little when I heard that FFXIII was going to be on the 360. It wasn't sad 'cause it wasn't going to be an exclusive to the PS3 but because it won't look as pretty as it could be anymore. The PS3 is more powerful than the 360 and the graphics could be 10 times better than on the 360. And yes I am a graphics whore, but what do you expect from a design student; I like my things to look pretty.... actually really, really, REALLY pretty and the 360 just won't cut it. But when it does eventually does come out I'll probably get it/con Donutta in to getting in on the PS3 just because it would feel so so very wrong to play it on the 360.

I've seen people bitching about how Sony's conference was okay. What the hell are they on? They showed everything that was already announced, things that they promised years ago and things that we don't even get until "maybe" next year. Then the so called big surprise was MAG. What kind of name is Massive Action Game? Did they run out of time to think of a name before E3 or is it meant to be a placeholder? But then again they would have to still use MAG as their title cause it's been announced as that. But then again aren't all action games meant to be massive or at least feel massive? So doesn't it take the point out of calling it that? Or have they run out of ideas? Or should they stop making "massive action games" if they can't think of fucking good names for them?

As for Nintendo... Stupid, STUPID Donutta woke me up with fucking Cammie's voice! When I first saw her my impressions of her weren't very high considering my sleep was disturbed by the sound of her shrill voice. Then I noticed that her neck sticks out A LOT. It reminds me of a pigeon that always has its head sticking outward. Then during the Wii Sports Resort demo, the other guy looked rather retarded. Do you have to be a speaical needs person to work for them or something? I realise that it's mean but that's what I first thought! But enough about the people who work for Nintendo, now for the games... actually what games? They said there were going to be more games for the hardcore gamers but where were they? Did they leave them back in baggage claim? Was it too much for them to handle cause the games were SO hardcore? SO hardcore that we can only show you a TITLE! And then we come to the end of their conference where they show off the "next" big thing, Wii Music. WHY?! It's basically playing the air guitar but now you have a whole range of other AIR instruments. And then what about the DS? Isn't the DS one of the biggest sellers for them? And nothing was shown for it besides from a TITLE.
*sigh* Looking back I feel that I could have done more productive things instead of watching the live stream of E3, or at least have gotten more sleep!
Stupid Donutta for waking me up. HEADPHONES, BOY!
