Fallout 3 vs Oblivion

When i got my hands on Oblivion, i was soo excited, after spending a couple of weeks drooling over screenshots and u tube vids, i had it, i had made it, i now belonged to a elite group of RPG'ers, who for us, it was nothing to sit down and play in tamerial for 30 hours +
Elder Scrolls 4 had it all gameplay was slick/great graphics/huge landscape/magic/quests/spells,and RATS you name it, Bethdesa Studios made sure we had it ,this game was a real "life sucker" with over 30+ hours to get anywhere in the game it had longevity written all over it.
Now when i heard that Bethdesa Studios were releasing Fallout 3 i had that same "giddy" feeling i had when Obilivion was released after checking out the interviews and vids i kinda liked what i saw cept for a couple of things.
Note this is just my personal opinion, plus game is not out yet so i may be completing wrong :)
A few things i was not stoked about, to me the targeting system really seems weird, i mean having to stop and target body parts of "bad guys", and have the parts highlight in bright green really loses the immersion for me, then again i have not played it so it might work really well, just looks a bit strange.
Secondly target range seems a bit floaty and character interaction seems a little choppy. Saying that i have a feeling the game will be awesome tho, Bethesda are a great company. Fallout 3 will have there distinctive flavour to it, plus 30+ hours, will make it an epic RPG.
Soo only one question remains, who thinks Fallout 3 can shake Obilvion off it's really high castle???
Lets hope it can at least match it aye, we will find out soon enough.. thanks for reading, leave comments..

Fallout is looking pretty good, will proberly get it, love RPG's. Thanks Xyttik for explaining the VATS targeting system, sounds like it's a good idea and should work well in the game.
Not much of a fan of the setting of oblivion, with all that old viking/castle crap.
but after playing morowind well lets just say a hate the f(%k out of the elder scrolls now
Fallout shouldn't be compared to Oblivion, it uses the same engine but massively tweaked and that's where the similarities end. It's it's own beast and it IS a beast. I've enjoyed it way more than Oblivion, and I had HEAPS of fun with Oblivion so that's really saying something
fall out you shape the world around you as u go.
oblivion you can do any thing but do the quest they dont change any thing the world stays the same
ps. can you blow up a whole town in oblivion with a nuke?
BOOM!
