Why all the hate??

Throughout the relatively short history of video gaming there has always been competing companies. And thats all well and good since a bit of healthy competition always pushes companies to try and make better and bolder products.
Even in the days of Sega and Nintendo there was a fair amount of hatred. When one person talked about how much they preferred one console over another large arguements often broke out. Nowadays the hate seems stronger than ever. Playstation and Xbox fan boys seem to bickering more and more everyday.
Remember when gaming was about how much fun you had playing the games? Rather than which system has better graphics or which system can play blu-ray DVDs etc. Now even the computer companies have begun bickering amounst themselves. PC and Mac are constantly fighting and Mac even has several ads putting down PC.
Where does all this hate stem from I ask you??
I personally have fun just being a gamer and I find it quite petty that us gamers should fight amoungst eachother just because of which system we prefer. I believe that we should stop the pregidous and just learn to get along.
A reasonable amount of healthy competition is always good but it should stay competition and never turn into hate.

There will always be people who try to justify their choice to feel more secure about themselves.
Fanboys don't seem to realise that the non-fanboys don't care which console is better, because it always comes down to the games, and there will always be great exclusives on any given console.

(start rant) We all are imperfect people living in a perfect world. And $$$ is the root of that imperfection, What all these companies are trying to do is get you to spend your hard earned cash on there products and will use every exploitation technique at there disposal, Take the MAC/PC ads for example my pc would do all things mentioned so in reality they are just planting the seeds and its everyone living in thismperfect world the nurtures it hence the hate, its in our nature to do so, its how we are wired. As for the school yard bickering about consoles, its not the fact that one was better then the other but the rather influences from other sources I.E media and the fact that Jonhny Bloggs had a mega drive and you didnt.(end rant)

I'd like to own them all, will probably get a 360 at some stage (have a ps3 plus couple of pc's atm) but there are definitely members who go too far. I'm guilty of jumping into an arguement but generally try to point out the retardedness of it all lol. But then again this a forum, people will ALWAYS misinterpret peoples posts eh.
One of these days I'm gonna Stick a PS3 and a 360 together in the same box and have 'em run side by side. First I need the money for 3 or so of each cause my mods don't always turn out well lol

That would be like super awesomeness if you do manage to pull it off and it shall be named . . . . StaBoxtion X! Ruler of the Tri-Mod nebular of the 187th Gamerverse and he/she shall bringith blissful tranquillity to the masses . . . . or somewhere along those lines.

The 360 would end up overheating. It'd need to be well ventilated not stuck in some box. And the ps3 would die eventually too because having two console side by side in a cramped box is gonna get hot.

They also said it was impossible to send paper thourgh a Telephone wire, so ou can never tell with mods these days I remember when I built my first PC I used a Wooden Beer Create.

No way! My anger is well thought out and justified in my mind. Not just random attacks for the sake of it.

Here, here, i bloody well agree 100% on your comments mentioned in here and yess i still do have a "Sega Mastersystem 2 and a N64".. also the almost the latest thing called "PS2". Playstation 3 isn't for me yet but i've heard nice thing about and also the bad things about it but it all boils up to ourselves as to what we like and dislike, right. agreement as to all this haterid/fighting/bickering on what's good and what's bad. just have fun playing the type of games you like and don't get nasty to others as they might not like what you have or vica versa. just have fun playing what you like.
