State of Nintendo

I love Nintendo, always have, and always will.
I owed a NES when I was 11 years old and played it till my fingers bleed. I have gone through the ups and downs of Nintendo releases in NZ. The SNES never was released here at all, the N64 towards the end of its life here in NZ, had games going for $150, which at the time was $40-$50 more expensive than PS2 games.
It comes as no real surprise Nintendo has failed in NZ.
It makes me sad that a company that's done really well round the world, can't sustain itself here in God's own.
Whoever is the next company to pick up Nintendo can't see it as a cashcow like Sony's PS2. Sony had hit the market with aggressive campaigns (and a lot of $$$) and now have reaped the rewards of investing big in NZ. They (Nintendo) need to hit the market with an aggressive marketing and PR campaign and hold no quarter against the 360 & PS3.
I don't hate the other consoles at all; there are some really great games on those two formats.
I think if a console like Nintendo via the Wii can get my folks playing Wii Sports, there is something truly magical about the console.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for the fate of Nintendo.

We've been working on this for nearly 12 months way before anyone has relaunched anything. Thanks for the comment!
