Introducing: Hydrophobia

Here's a game that many of you probably don't know about, but one that I've kept my eyes on for a while now. Hell, the game grabbed my interest before there were even any screenshots to view, and the developers (Blade Interactive) were still using rubber duckies to demonstrate their gaming engine.
You play as Kate Wilson, an aquaphobic systems engineer onboard the Queen of the World - a futuristic, city-sized cruise liner. Why she takes up a job on a cruise liner when she's aquaphobic is beyond me. Anyway, the hook in the story is when terrorists make an attack on the cruise liner, forcing Kate to overcome her fears and put a stop to the terrorist activity.

Yeah, the story could be better. But it's the game engine I'm interested in. Blade Interactive are promising to deliver the first video game to feature realistic, dynamic, flowing water - all rendered in real-time. Forget about BioShock's water. Sure that water looked good, but it wasn't dynamic, and it didn't fully interact with its surroundings like Hydrophobia's will.
I'm hoping that Hydrophobia, if nothing else, can at least provide some interesting and innovative puzzle-based gameplay that hasn't been seen before in any other game. Or maybe another company can utilize the engine, and bring it up to the graphical standard seen in BioShock, giving us the best of both worlds.

It's due out some time this year, for both PS3 and Xbox 360. Blade Interactive revealed the first footage for the game at this year's E3.

anyone remember in myst where you empty a chest, then make it float to the key? classic.
float stuff and holding breath FTW!
Looks pretty sweet. Like the idea of dynamic free flowing water. Could play an important part in future games.
