To be honest, the only reason I can think of for people to own this (as I actually do) is if you don't have access to XboxLIVE yet still want all the latest maps for splitscreen or LAN matches. The extras (the things that AREN'T maps) are nothing too special, all the trailers for past Halo titles, a VidDoc featuring Bungie employees describing the new maps, a pre-rendered short detailing the a plot hole in the Halo2 campaign and a useful tool for testing your 5.1 surrounds sound system, complete with a squealing grunt.

Oh, and it's almost obsolete now, with Halo3 being a year old and numbers of original Xboxes dwindling.
