Well done Apple, well done.

Steve, fire the guys at marketing they're doing their job TOO WELL!

Why do I say this you may ask? Well it's all down to "i" (No, not me....).

Thanks to the rabid success of Apple's range of products, initially brought upon by the iPod's rise in popularity, the coolest letter in the world is now i.

Now, there are sometimes I wish I were the coolest, but enough about confusing segments of my personal life.

Marketing companies worldwide have been doing their research into the success of the iPod so that they too can glean nuggets of golden selling power.

Apparently, all they came up with was the letter i.

Take, for example, the new version of Nintendo's popular DS handheld.

What's it called you ask?

That's right, the DSi

Now, I have just thought that the "i" in the DSi could be to link it to the Wii and the Miis.

Mii, Wii, i = Me, We, I.

I soon came to realise that it was nothing more than my inner fanboy defending Nintendo at a scale I haven't seen since my "Gameplay is more important than graphics" mantra I constantly recited online to any PSP user who abused my beloved handheld...

No, the DSi is purely another vain attempt to cash in on Apple's "i" moneymaking scheme.

Seriously, everything from TV (MySkyHDi) to intelligent internal medicine dispencers (Philips iPill) are all trying to cash in on Apple's deal.

This brings me to another thought...

Wasn't this the same with "Super" in the nineties?!

Nintendo really pioneered it, calling every revised version of it's games SUPER SOMETHINGOROTHER!...

And that was my vent for today... I really should resume studying.....
