Final Fantasy: Dissidia
Published Friday 13 Nov 2009 10:38am | PlayStation PortableI have been a fan of Final Fantasy since FF VII hit the PS1, and have played every game apart from XI. This latest installment of the franchise didn't disappoint, It 's just such a step away from the FF norm that left me undecided if I can really love it like the previous games.... I have now decided. (100+ hours later) It's great and I love it.
I estimate the playing time to be many hundreds of hours, if you wanted to take every character to level 100 and unlock everything. Visually it's gorgeous, and has a massive amount of un-lockable content sure to impress fans of the franchise. I'm still enjoying reading history and hearing music from the previous games etc.
A steep learning curve means the battle system can be frustrating until you get used to it. In general I found low level characters hard to get started, but once you get some better equipment and some levels under your belt, (and better at it), it has a solid system that won't make you swear at your PSP too often.
Certainly on my PSP must have list, but maybe not every ones cup of tea.
Enjoy.
