So it was my first time going to xLan and my first time going to a gaming event this big (armagedon doesnt count (I was like 10 dont flame me =( )). firstly I was pretty blown away with amount of gear there (not just peoples PC's but all the hardware on display i.e. graphics cards that need small nuclear plants to power them). I suddenly felt a tad inadequate, and that my PC was a piece of crap...

I went with a group of guys to check it out, the wierdest thing though, is seeing people play that you've played with heaps on the net or seeing clans play that you've played heaps with/against e.g. NZR, TSW. and so forth because you never even bother to imagine what these people are like and then all of a sudden there right infront of you going nuts vs. some other clan.

So my favourite events that I watched were Team Fortress 2 and cod4 they were both pretty badass (I actually had an idea of what was going on in TF2 though...). I think its safe to say that I'll check it out again next year and maybe in the future bring my PC along.

It would just be the shiz if they had Smash Bros Brawl there and played a tournement =D
