Transformers: The War for Cybertron
Published Wednesday 1 Sep 2010 4:02pm | Nintendo WiiWhen I heard this video game was coming out I was rather excited, I watched the trailer and it looked very awesome but it was only until I came into possession of this video game that my bubble of amazement broke, the game play and how the video game is played.
The intro is great but the modes to play is limited, there is only two game modes and the options menu, story mode is one of these modes and as the name goes its the story of the game which is the origin of Cybertron where the war wages between the Autobots and Decepticons.
The Second mode is challenge mode, where you play the game but as you complete stages and do certain things within it you get medals that is recognized for completing that set task, the more medals obtained the more concept art and music you get.
The game play is another disappoint, when you are in robot form you cannot move, instead it moves for you, the only thing you can do is control where you retreat behind something or where you shoot, as the shooting goes its point and shoot, with the directional buttons you select your weapon such as the blaster, missiles, sniper and gattling gun.
To conclude this, this game is rather disappointing and is not worth getting but if you are interested in the retro arcade shooting style of video games or if you like the epic Transformers story, the graphics and music is great, it is just the game play and how it is played, very disappointing.
