On Warhammer 40,000 and it's connections to Too Human

A couple of nights ago I was thinking about Warhammer 40,000 (I'm a collecter, w00t!) and it's story, which I love, and then started thinking about Too Humans story line. Suddenly a light bulb went, and connections started spreading through out my head. I believe that the Too Human story is very similar to the Horus Heresy event in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
First a small overview of the Too Human story, from what I've gathered from a trailer, several previews and a Wikipedia article. In short, machine thingys invaded, Odin led a resistance or something similar and bet them back. He devolped technologys to help him in his fight, the most important being the Aesir, super human warriors. Sadly one of these Aesir, Loki, has turned to the side of the Machines and is helping them. From what I can tell Odin has since died or gone to a better place...

Now for the Horus Heresy. Humanity colonised the galaxy, taking over hundreds of planets, but a series of Warp Storms (sort of daemonic worm holes for those not in the know) isolated humanities planets, destroying communications and severly hampering travel, Human civilastion was restricted to Terra (Earth) and the other systems regressed to barbarniasm. Eventually a human, The Emperor, unites the humans on Terra and creates the beginning of the Imperium of Man. He creates super soldiers known as Space Marines. During his experiments he created twenty, extraordniary individuals known as the Primarchs. They were the pinical of human limits and could best any foe, unfortuenetly they were spirited away by an unkown force, believed to be Warp related (An alternate daemon infested dimension). Eventually the warp storm surronding Terra died down and the Emperor led his Space Marines on the 'Great Crusade' to reclaim humanities old planets, and to cleanse them of the alien. During the crusade he was re-united with all but two of his Primarchs, and each took control of a Space Marine legion. Now here comes the Horus Heresy part. Horus was the Emperors favourite son and he was made Warmaster of His armies. However Horus was corrupted by Chaos (Daemons) and became convinced that the Emperor was a weak man and pitiful ruler, he then convinced eight other Primarchs to side with him and overthrow the Emperor. This caused a galaxy wide civil war as the Traitor Legions fought the Imperial Loyalists. The battle was evuantly won by the Imperials at the Siege of Terra, when the Emperor fought Horus in single combat. Although the Emperor won the duel, he was mortally wounded and was placed on the 'Golden Throne', a structure that would keep him alive, albiet on the verge of it, indefintly.
Now that we've gotten those rather lengthy backgrounds out of the way, time for comparisions. Firstly, the Aesir and the Primarchs/Space Marines. Both Superhuman soldiers created by a single entity. Odin/The Emperor both created G.E'd soldiers and united humanity in a common cause. Loki/Horus were both orignally the good guys but turned on their allies. A small similarity, a golden statue of Odin is seen on the trailer, sitting on a Golden Throne, The Emperor has resided on his Throne for thousands of years. Both were technologically gifted, both creating the technology for their soldiers and master minding the creation of their arms and armour.
So, from this anaylisis, I'm going to predict a few things.
1. At least one of the Aesir will turn to join Loki
2. There will be a climitic battle (A given) at the gates of Medengrad (Or what ever it's called, their man base)
3. The Machines will retreat, and nurse their hatred for many years before attacking once more ( A la the Black Crusades, something I didn't describe in the background, just Wiki it)
Right, well that's my little discussion over, hopefully people agree with me and hopefully at least one of my predicions is right. I'm not saying that Silicon Knights are copying Games Workshops story, I'm just saying their similar, and as Games Workshop story is pretty good, Too Humans story might end up going down the same path. Great minds think alike :D
Have Fun

Basically look at it this way; too human likely isn't based of 40K, it is more probably that they are both based off norse legend.
And be careful when you say "Oh but it's Roman Legend". Roman culture was very much affected by the norse legend which came before it. Just like the "Roman" Cathlic Church was very much affected by the norse religions in some of the holidays and rituals it adopted.
Norse came around long after the Romans were did, so they were obviously not read to them. And to everyone I'm not saying their based on one another, I'm saying their similar. And as one has a great story the other might also share elements, unless there's a massive twist in the story, which is quite likely in an RPG :p
