Race Driver: GRID

Even the startup cinematics and displays are laid out well. Everything has a clean, modern appearance. Getting into an actual race is no different either, the smoke from sliding around a corner looks great, and every car is modeled well (unlike some other games where they all have a boxy appearance). The variety of track locations are great too, from grungy docks to picturesque Tokyo mountainsides, every one demands an instant replay to catch that amazing scene.
On the other hand, the gameplay is where Grid fails to impress. Compared to other racers (PGR4, Forza etc) it seems like you have to brake ALOT less. In some cases you can maintain full speed without braking around a corner, and come out fine. This makes the learning curve quite steep for your generic racer, but its almost fun once you're used to it.
All in all Grid is a good game with a few minor flaws, the Replay feature is a breath of fresh air into a genre like this, the graphics are great, but some might find the actual racing a little tough to master.
