GCA 2009 is NZGamer.com's next international jaunt, bringing you news, info and hands on previews from the Pacific rim. After E3 in LA and GamesCom in Germany already under our belt this year, we're happy to be able to continue providing Kiwis with the global goss from a local perspective.
GCA is taking place in sultry Singapore, and here I am, bleary eyed after a long flight. Let me tell you this: 31 degree heat will make you sweat in places you didn't know you had glands. But enough of that...
Who's here? EA, Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft and many other big players are attending three days of speakers and a public exhibition. And NZ's golden-calf of video game development, Sidhe Interactive boss Mario Wynands, happens to be here too. He'll be delivering a keynote address on cross platform development on day two.
I'll be blogging, Tweeting and reporting in abundance over the next couple of days, so stay tuned for more about the latest games, the latest developments and the latest in learned learnings from some of the industry's leaders.
As I'm here to work, I'll try my best not to have too much fun. Yeah right...
Check out the GCA site here, for what's on offer.
Thanks to Leipziger Messe for making this trip possible.
