Are you sitting there wondering whether you should buy Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise? Wondering if there is anything extra included in this sequel to make it worth while? Wondering if you dare be seen pottering around a virtual garden, worrying about plants that need watering, cooing at the cute new pinatas that come to visit you? Go on...I know you want to.
Viva Pinata: TIP is a much improved version of the game. Although pretty much the same sort of game as before - grow a garden, entice pinatas in, stop fights, breed them etc etc, the gameplay has been tightened up. Previously, in Viva Pinata, the Original, it was very easy for your garden to fall into chaos and became quickly frustrating as pinatas constantly fought with each other and got ill. This time around there is certainly much more control, allowing you to develop your pinata garden as you wish. There are still calamities to face of course - sour pinatas that litter the garden with sour sweets, fireweeds and hemlock getting out of control etc, but they are easier to deal with.
New gameplay in TIP includes the ability to travel to the desert or to the arctic and trap pinatas to bring back to your garden. You have to make sure your garden has enough sand/snow/food etc for that pinata otherwise you'll spend alot of effort trapping it, but after bringing back to your garden it won't stay.
If you've never played before and you enjoy the Sim-style game, I recommend this one. Be prepared for it to be a little slow and time consuming, (I'm on level 19 and have STILL got a tiny garden), but it's choc full of delight with graphically cute pinata animals.
