So I've decided to have a wee fiddle with my NZGamer profile.
Sounds allright right? mmm =
Noticed you can customise two things...
The top title banner, and the avatar icon.
Oh wait I forgot that you can change the colour of the thing on top of "blocks" (about, friends, etc...) excitting aye?
Yeah, I know I'm probbaly being rather negative about the new site features and what not. But the little things do matter...
Like why can't I change the main background bit from white?
Why do I have random people as my top 3 friends?
Why can't I choose them?
Sure I lol'd at the

MyNZgamer add the first time... Now it's the 20th time and it's getting lil old....
More customizeability for this please NZG...
I love the random Darth Vader/ Yoda background...
Would be sweet If in the future there were more game related backrounds featuring, and maybe also ability to choose....

the sc4 side banners are an ad, usually its a gradient i believe, but maybe itd be nice to have other games on that area instead of gradient? dunno.
oh and that mynzgamer ad would be cooler if it quoted forum posts or blogs etc. anyone remember th dannyboy quote that used to be on the old site? (that never changed... :P)
But being able to change the colour of your profile's background may be asking a bit much mate. because that could cause some visibility issues with the text. And if they added the option to change the colour of the text, your gonna get your idiots who think that the bright yellow shade on a white background is funny.sigh.
You can move them around but nothing will change.
Why?
Id say it was Phoenix setting that up with his mad skills. Musta cost the advertisers a truckload as it takes up about 3 of the 'regions' defined in the NZGamer advertising media kit.
As for profile background change I know it's a bit much, heading into the lines of things like myspace. But I was having a rant ^_^

Yeah, as I was making the banner I was smiling at how much I knew you'd enjoy it.
The fact is NZGamer needs to make a certain amount of money to pay for its costs - Hosting, Rent, Postage for sending out prizes, etc. And despite what you may think, we're not raking in the cash just yet.
