This is a brilliant game, the graphics are second only to the atmosphere, the pre-rendered backgrounds are easily the best looking for any game in its generation and this makes it a great game to play in the dark at 2am.

Many people complain that the fixed camera angles make the game hard to control and annoying, but the fixed camera angles make a resident evil game. The fixed camera angles allow the developers to control the game. Effectively making the game like an interactive
novel, except for the part where mindless, flesh eating monsters of every description
try to kill youThis make the game much more scary when you can hear the monsters but not see them, you can't just peek around the corner and dispatch the enemy so easily like most games.
The whole idea of resident evil is survival horror you can't just kill everything in sight, you have to run and survive, make your ammo count and hope like hell you have enough for the next boss.

If you like to run around commando style and blow stuff up, then this game will be a little over your head. however if you like a game that has atmosphere and brilliant direction, then is a great buy. However, its only available second hand and I'm not selling my copy.
