Why do I think Starcraft II will be a legacy?

An Legion of marines and siege tanks attacking a large Zerg base. Blizzard are a rare gem in a world of excluses and console releases. For those of you who don't know Blizzard (or Blizzard Entertainment) are an American video game developer and publisher headquartered in Irvine, California. Some of there game series include Warcraft and more recently World Of Warcraft, Diablo (III) and Starcraft (II). If anyone does not know them, you my friend having been living under one BIG rock, so I don't know why Im telling anyone, none the less an entire communtity of gamers. The original Starcraft I was released waaaaaaaaaaay back in gud old 1998 and instantly rocked the RTS game to the core. Starcraft went on to win many awards. I would list them, but there is ALOT. Blatently Blizzard must have got something right with Starcraft I and most of the gaming community recognized Bliizard's achievemnet in numbers. To this day Starcraft is still a popular game online around the world via Blizzard's free Battlenet. It became aparent then, that a game of this stature needed a sequel. The game was pratically screaming the word. So on May 19, 2007, at the Worldwide Invitational in Seoul, South Korea, Blizzard finnally anounced the long anticipated Starcraft II. So what does the future hold for Starcraft II? Some critics claim that Starcraft II is another Starcraft with better graphics and differnet units in a new shiny box. Well its true. Starcraft II does have new units and looks better. Others claim that blizzard has just gotten down right greedy. I disagree. Blizzard is a unique company because it does not have an obvious time schedule to us outsiders. they release a game when they think its perfect. When they can do nothing more to improve it. They do not release some unrealistic release date and rush to complete a game and botch it in the process like some developers. You see Blizzard out something into there games that many developers don't. They put soul in. And no mass produced junk can ever replicate that. Picture it as if all of Blizzards games are a fine wine. Many of the other developers make mass porduced garbbage in a short amount of time (eg fizzy drinks) while Blizzard takes the time to get it just right and gives it that extra time to ferment. But not in a bad way where it starts to grow mould! And just like a wine, the game gets more valuable and better the older it is. You see, Blizzard Entertainment are true game designers and thats good to see a flourishing company in a dying breed.
